Walking Warriors 2nd Annual Walk to Battle Breast Cancer

Saturday & Sunday trainings are over. See you on the 27th!



Training for either the ten or twenty mile route is paramount to a successful walk.  We keep to a schedule of Saturday morning walks in and around the DC area.  We ensure the start and stop locations are close to a Metro station and/or accessible parking.  Each route is in safe and low traffic areas.  There are rest stops and places to grab a bite to eat along the way. We will start at 4 miles and increase the distance 1 to 2 miles over the next two weekends.  Going forward the distances increase by 2 miles per week. 

We train, in rain or cold, however if the temps aren't expected to climb above 32°F by 10am we will try to locate to an indoor facility to walk. Usually a local mall.  Route information will be posted on the website every Wednesday prior to Saturday training walks.
